After taking advice from Public Health England, Amesbury Town Council in conjunction with the Amesbury branch of the Royal British Legion has decided to cancel its Remembrance Parade and service around the War Memorial this year.

A recording was made of the President of the Amesbury Branch of the Royal British Legion, Mayor of Amesbury Councillor Rhod Evans and Councillor Mark Verbinnen laying the following wreaths:

- Royal British Legion

- Amesbury Town Council

- Royal Artillery

- The Stonehenge School

- Stonehenge Chamber of Trade

Other organisations have made their own arrangements to lay a wreath at the Amesbury War Memorial.

Below is a link to the live stream of the prerecorded Amesbury Remembrance Service. The stream will be live at 10:52am this Sunday. The event is streamed on Facebook, but note you do not need a Facebook account to watch. Please also feel free to share the link with those who may not be on Facebook or may have not yet see it on the Town Councils Social media pages.

If anyone would like to lay their own wreath or cross at the Amesbury War Memorial, you are more than welcome to do so.  Please abide by the current social distancing measures.
